1) Overview

Wolio ("Wolio", "we", "us") operates two related applications: Wolio Portfolio at portfolio.wolio.link and Wolio Link Tracker at app.wolio.link. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices when using either application.

2) Information we collect

A) Account information

When you sign up or log in, we collect:

  • Email address (authentication and account management)

We use a magic-link login flow. Login tokens are short-lived and single-use.

B) Portfolio data (Portfolio app)

If you use Wolio Portfolio, we may store:

  • Profile content (name, title, bio, links)
  • Project content (text, images, video links, tags)
  • Resume files you upload (for example, PDF)
  • Portfolio settings (slug, publish state, layout preferences)
  • Timestamps (created/updated/published)

C) Link tracker data (Tracker app)

If you create tracked links, we store:

  • Link label (for example, "Shopify PM")
  • Destination URL
  • Slug/handle (if applicable)
  • Timestamps (created/updated)

D) Tracking event data

When a Wolio link is opened, we record limited analytics such as:

  • Timestamp of the open/click
  • User agent (browser/device string)
  • Referrer (if available)
  • Scanner/prefetch indicators and related flags
  • Bot signals based on technical heuristics
  • An anonymized IP-derived identifier (we hash IP data; we do not intentionally store raw IP in analytics views)

We do not claim to identify exact individuals or companies from this data.

3) What we do not collect

  • No tracking scripts are installed on your own external portfolio site.
  • We do not collect passwords through magic-link login.
  • We do not intentionally collect sensitive IDs such as government ID numbers.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

4) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate Portfolio and Link Tracker features
  • Log opens/clicks, show analytics, and support portfolio publishing
  • Secure the platform (fraud prevention, abuse detection, rate limiting)
  • Send service communications (login links, notices, support messages)
  • Improve reliability, performance, and product quality
  • Send product/marketing updates where permitted by law (opt-out available)

5) Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only with:

  • Service providers (hosting, storage, email, security, analytics tooling)
  • Legal authorities when required by valid legal process
  • Safety and abuse partners to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

6) Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies/storage for essential functionality, login sessions, and security controls.

We do not use your Wolio session to track you across unrelated third-party websites.

7) Link scanners and automated traffic

Email providers, ATS platforms, and security systems may scan or prefetch links automatically. This can create events even when a recruiter did not manually open the link. Wolio may flag likely scanner/prefetch activity, but these classifications are not guaranteed to be perfect.

8) Data retention

We retain data as needed to operate the products and satisfy legal/security obligations.

  • Account and portfolio/link records: until deleted by you or removed under our retention rules.
  • Event analytics: retention varies by plan and product terms.

Plan limits (including history windows and any "unlimited" allowances) may change over time. To protect reliability and prevent abuse, we may impose reasonable rate, storage, or usage limits, including on accounts previously described as unlimited.

9) Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including short-lived login tokens, access controls, and abuse monitoring.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit processing of your data.

You can also opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links or by emailing [email protected].

11) International processing

Wolio operates from Canada and may use providers in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions. Data may be processed in countries with different privacy laws.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
